Our minds cannot repel logic of that magnitude!
T-minus 12 hours until Fallout goodness
So for those of you who are not down with the Fallout series, let me give you a little low-down on the history of these games. Fallout and Fallout 2 were published by Interplay in 1997 and 1998, and about 5 years later – they were hailed as being one of the top 5 best video games of all time. After the release of Fallout 2, Interplay began work on Fallout 3 (at the time, codenamed Van Buren). In 2004 they began encountering financial problems, and have since then shut down (though they have re-emerged with plans of a Fallout MMO, which I will discuss at a later time in a later article).
Anyways, they sold the IP rights to the Fallout series to Bethesda Softworks – who promptly said they weren’t continuing the development of Fallout 3. Bummer. Then they come back at the 2007 E3 with a smirk on their faces and say, “hey, we totally lied – look at what we got.” It’s Fallout 3 goodness – and that goodness comes out tomorrow. So if you haven’t done it yet, go and pre-order yourself a copy! I will post more tomorrow after I get to play it for the first time….
